Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable processes, including daily entry of invoices, bills, journal entries, weekly check runs, monthly accruals, and special projects.
  • Establish and maintain a filing and retrieval system for accounting and corporate records, ensuring accessibility of past and current records, and attaching documents within the financial system as applicable.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts regularly, investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and check requests in compliance with authorization and approval policies and follow up on invoices pending approval.
  • Monitor aging reports and communicate with customers regarding overdue balances.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Research, register, and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.
  • Analyze financial data, prepare monthly trend reports, and reconcile balance sheets to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Oversee fixed asset tracking and reconciliations, including monthly depreciation calculations.
  • Assist external auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for annual audits.
  • Utilize SAP for financial data entry, processing, and reporting purposes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and/or related field.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Knowledge of international currency exchange transactions is a plus.
