Service Technician – NAVCOM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install marine navigation equipment including but not limited to radar, sonar, gyrocompasses, autopilots, ECDIS, GMDSS, etc.
  • Perform predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance of NAVCOM equipment.
  • Be competent with marine equipment and integrated systems in line with experience and qualifications.
  • Maintain diagnostic and operational tools, support, and test equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and timely repairs.
  • Have sound knowledge of spares and list requirements as per project needs.
  • Carry out correct isolation and disconnection procedures.
  • Climb antenna support structures to various heights for maintenance and installation of antenna systems.
  • Respond promptly to problems according to approved procedures.
  • Maintain logs of faults, resolutions, and maintenance.
  • Keep the work area clean and free of hazards within personal responsibility.
  • Attend offshore jobs as required.

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the marine field.
  • Able to understand basic English and follow work instructions from clients, supervisors, and managers.
  • GMDSS operator’s certificate is desirable.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • A valid GCC driving license is an added advantage.
