At Amit Engineering FZE, we believe that progress isn’t just built through innovation and engineering—it’s driven by people, partnerships, and community. That belief was brought to life as we proudly sponsored the Filipino Yachtsmen Association’s (FYA) Sportsfest 2025, an inspiring celebration of unity, athleticism, and cultural pride.

The tournament, which spanned over two months, brought together members of the Filipino maritime community in the UAE for a series of exciting sports competitions. The grand finale took place on May 19, 2025, at the esteemed Al Wasl Sports Club, marking the culmination of weeks of camaraderie and competition.

A Thrilling Victory for Team AME

The highlight of the event was the basketball championship final, where Team AME emerged victorious in a nail-biting finish. The game was a true display of teamwork and determination, with our team winning by just 2 points—a thrilling conclusion to an already memorable season.

Our involvement extended beyond sponsorship—Team AME actively participated and exemplified the core values that define us: resilience, teamwork, and excellence.

Distinguished Guests & Special Moments

We were honored to welcome two distinguished guests whose presence added prestige and pride to the event:
  •  H.E. Marford M. Angeles, Consul General of the Philippines
  •  Atty. John Rio A. Bautista, Labor Attaché of the Migrant Workers Office

Their support underscored the vital contributions of the Filipino community to the maritime sector and the importance of corporate partnerships in empowering overseas workers.

Adding a special touch to the celebration, AMIT Engineering hosted a raffle draw during the finals, where three lucky winners received Garmin smartwatches—a gesture of appreciation for the community’s passion and participation.

A Meaningful Collaboration

For AMIT Engineering FZE, sponsoring the FYA Sportsfest was more than a corporate initiative—it was a meaningful collaboration that strengthened our bond with the maritime community, especially the dedicated Filipino professionals who form its backbone.

This sponsorship also allowed us to reinforce our presence in the industry and showcase how engineering and community engagement can go hand in hand. The visibility, goodwill, and connections fostered through this event have been invaluable.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on the success of Sportsfest 2025, we are excited to continue building partnerships that support people and progress within the maritime sector. AMIT Engineering FZE remains committed to initiatives that uplift communities, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster industry unity.

We thank the Filipino Yachtsmen Association, all participating teams, and our partners for making this event a resounding success. Together, we’re navigating toward a brighter, stronger future.
