Assistant Accounts Manager

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the processing of invoices, payment runs, and expense reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in the accounting system.
  • Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and UAE VAT regulations.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Prepare accounts payable reports including aging analysis and cash flow projections.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
  • Ensure team adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CA) are a plus.
  • 4–7 years in accounts payable, preferably in a group of companies or large corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), MS Excel, and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
