Assistant Workshop Manager

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling work and prioritizing tasks.
- Ensure that all work performed by technicians meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of all necessary tools and equipment to support workshop operations.
- Work with the sales team to schedule work and prioritize jobs according to customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment for both technicians and customers, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and enforcing safety protocols.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department, storekeeper, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work.
- Liaise closely with the service manager regarding invoices, payment, technician performance, warranty jobs, and technical training.
- Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including work orders, invoicing, and job costing.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and effective service to customers, including communication throughout the repair process, providing estimates, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Prepare daily task reports for technicians.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a workshop management role.
- Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of outboard and inboard engines and their components.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software.
Fluency in both written and verbal English is required; proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
