Head of Marketing & Communications

Role Summary:

The Head of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing and leading the organization’s marketing, branding, and communication strategies. This role oversees all internal and external communications, brand management, digital marketing, media relations, product marketing, and corporate messaging. The role requires a strong strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and proven leadership capability in managing multi-functional marketing teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s integrated marketing & communications strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Strengthen brand positioning, visibility, and reputation across all markets.

  • Manage annual marketing budgets, KPIs, and departmental performance metrics.

Marketing Management

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of marketing campaigns (digital, social, ATL, BTL).

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer behaviour studies to guide decision-making.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and communication materials.

  • Oversee product launches, go-to-market strategies, and promotional initiatives.

Digital & Social Media

  • Drive the organization’s digital presence through online campaigns, $SEO/SEM$, content strategy, and analytics.

  • Oversee social media strategy and online reputation management.

  • Introduce new marketing technologies, automation tools, and digital innovation.

Corporate Communications & PR

  • Manage internal and external communication frameworks, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.

  • Lead media relations, press releases, interviews, and crisis communication.

  • Support executive leadership with speeches, talking points, and corporate presentations.

  • Develop communication strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing & Communications team.

  • Set objectives, monitor performance, and ensure continuous skill development.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies (creative, PR, media buying, digital).

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Sales, HR, Operations, and Business Development to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and business needs.

  • Support internal events, corporate announcements, and employee engagement initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track, measure, and report on campaign performance, brand impact, and communication effectiveness.

  • Present business insights and recommendations to senior management.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record in brand management, digital marketing, and corporate communications.

  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary marketing teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in digital tools, CRM systems, and marketing analytics platforms.

  • Experience working with external agencies and managing large-scale campaigns.
