Key Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying their quality and quantity against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
- Organize and store items in designated locations within the store or warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
- Apply appropriate storage techniques to maintain product quality and prevent damage.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and initiate the procurement process to replenish stock when necessary.
- Generate purchase orders or requisitions based on inventory levels, anticipated demand, and company policies.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts to reconcile actual inventory with recorded quantities.
- Prepare and process requests for goods or materials from internal departments or external customers.
- Ensure accurate and timely issuance of items while maintaining proper documentation and tracking.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, returns, and adjustments.
- Identify and report any damaged, defective, or expired items.
- Operate and maintain equipment and tools used for inventory management, such as barcode scanners, computer systems, and stock management software.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations while handling and storing goods.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of related experience in receiving, storing, and issuing a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment, or general warehousing experience.
- Computer skills, including the ability to work with purchasing/inventory software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required. Knowledge of Arabic is considered an advantage.
