The ocean has always been closely connected to AMIT’s journey. It is part of the industries we serve, the communities we work with, and the responsibility we carry as a Group.
On the occasion of World Ocean Day, AMIT International Group partnered with Al Jazeera Diving & Swimming Center for a reef cleanup initiative in Ras Al Khaimah. The activity was carried out as part of AMIT@45, bringing together the Group’s commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and meaningful community action.
For AMIT, this was more than a one-day activity. It was a reminder that protecting the marine environment begins with awareness, but it grows stronger through action.
AMIT’s World Ocean Day Initiative
As part of the World Ocean Day initiative, AMIT joined hands with Al Jazeera Diving & Swimming Center to support an ocean cleanup in Ras Al Khaimah. The activity focused on helping protect the reef environment and raising awareness about the importance of cleaner, healthier oceans.
Reefs are among the most valuable ecosystems beneath the surface. They support marine life, protect coastal areas, and play an important role in maintaining the natural balance of the sea. Keeping them clean is not only an environmental need, it is a shared responsibility.
The collaboration with Al Jazeera Diving & Swimming Center added strong local value to the initiative. With their connection to diving and marine awareness, the activity was carried out with the right spirit, purpose, and care.
Sustainability in Action
At AMIT, sustainability is not treated as a campaign line. It is something that should be seen in the way we think, decide, and act.
This reef cleanup initiative in the UAE reflected that belief in a simple but meaningful way. It brought people together around a cause that matters to the environment, to the marine industry, and to the future we are all part of.
AMIT’s approach to sustainability is guided by a clear thought: Think, Act, Protect.
Think about the impact of our choices.
Act with care and integrity.
Protect what supports life, progress, and future generations.
Small steps may not always look grand from the outside, but they matter. When done with consistency and purpose, they become part of a larger movement toward responsible progress.
AMIT@45 and Responsible Progress
AMIT@45 is a celebration of the Group’s 45-year journey, but it is also a moment to look ahead. It reflects where AMIT has come from, what it stands for today, and how it continues to move forward with purpose, people, and pride.
The World Ocean Day activity fits naturally into this journey. It represents the values that have shaped AMIT over the years: integrity, excellence, unity, and responsibility.
As a Group connected to marine, offshore, industrial, technology, and service-led sectors, AMIT understands the importance of the ocean beyond business. The sea is part of our workplace, our industry, and our wider responsibility.
Responsible progress means growing with awareness. It means building businesses while also respecting the environment and the communities around us.
Protecting the Marine Environment
Marine conservation in the UAE is becoming increasingly important as more communities, organizations, and industries recognize the need to protect coastal and underwater ecosystems.
Clean oceans support biodiversity, strengthen marine life, and help preserve the natural balance that future generations will depend on. Every cleanup, every conversation, and every responsible action contributes to this effort.
Through the reef cleanup in Ras Al Khaimah, AMIT International Group reinforced its commitment to environmental responsibility and marine conservation UAE efforts. The activity served as a quiet but strong reminder that the ocean gives so much. It deserves the same care in return.
For AMIT, sustainability is not about doing something once and moving on. It is about building a mindset, one that encourages people to act with care, make responsible choices, and stay connected to the world around them.
The World Ocean Day initiative with Al Jazeera Diving & Swimming Center was a meaningful step in AMIT International Group’s wider sustainability journey. It reflected the strength of collaboration, the importance of community impact, and the value of taking action where it matters.
As AMIT continues its AMIT@45 journey, the Group remains committed to responsible growth, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
Because the ocean is not only part of our industry.
It is part of our responsibility.
