Technical Lead – Diving

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the diving equipment maintenance, testing, repairs, and recertification according to IMCA guidelines and Company procedures.
  • Responsible for diving store stock management, spare and consumables restocking, ordering equipment, documenting, and processing.
  • Consults with the Dive Technician on the diving work site (when applicable) and liaises and reports daily about activities to the Manager.
  • Prepares the equipment prior to the operations and is also responsible for mobilization and the demobilization of diving spreads.
  • Prepares IMCA audits and manages activities performed by Technician Assistant(s).
  • Provides reports and documenting equipment certificates and uses IT tools to report his/her job maintenance and up-date the PMS.
  • Responsible in ensuring there is adequate manpower and inventory to correctly meet all service calls and to take proactive actions.
  • Responsible for modification work of diving systems and check preparation of equipment prior to the operations & delivery.
  • Ensure reports and equipment certifications are correctly documented and maintain it to provide upon request.
  • Supervise all maintenance items of the workshop & provides weekly task updates.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • BSc/BS/ Diploma in Mechanical Diploma course & Diving Certifications – required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years working in an active workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Practical and safe working experience on diving gear equipment’s repairs and services
  • Prominent knowledge & equipment training courses regarding safety, emergency procedures, preventive maintenance, breakdown situations, administrations related to the Diving industry.
  • Excellent academics and technical knowledge and ability to apply learned knowledge.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications /ERP
  • Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels, UAE driving License is a requirement.
