Ocean Cleanup: 4th Quarter Sustainable Activity

AMIT International Group and Garmin UAE sponsored the Ocean clean up activity which consisted of snorkeling and in-water collection of debris by AZRAQ team members from the areas around the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina (A popular spot for tourist and party boats in Dubai) on November 30th, 2021. Globally, 129 billion face masks and 65 billion plastic gloves are used every month and their disposable is a major concern as mass plastic waste can smother environments and break up ecosystems. Commonly, marine animals cannot differentiate between plastic items and their prey, subsequently choking on pieces of litter. Therefore, its essential to keep the ocean clean by removing litters and debris that could potentially relate hazard for marine life. More than 8kg worth of trash – plastic bags, water bottles and other marine debris waste accumulated with the help of 4 volunteers. Stay tuned for our next activities to help offset the impacts of environmental footprint. #Clean and #Protect our oceans!! #ZeroResponsibility
